AT YANGA NATIONAL PARK

Mamanga Campground

 
LOCATION:  From Balranald travel east along Sturt Highway for 2km.  Turn right onto Windomal Road. Cotinue for approximately 4.2km before turning right at the sign to Mamanga campground.  The turn-off is 1.2km past the turn-off to Yanga Woolshed.

FACILITIES:  The area has non-flushed toilets, picnic tables and wood barbecues


The Willows Campground & Picnic Area

 
LOCATION:  From Balranald travel east along Sturt Highway for 23km.Turn right at the blue tent sign and continue along.  After 800m turn left at The Willows campground sign.  The campground and picnic area is about 1.5km along the road.


FACILITIES:  The area has non-flushed toilets, picnic tables, wood barbecues & fire rings (bring your own firewood)

24 Hr RV Stop at the Balranald Discovery Centre

 
LOCATION:  At the Balranald Discovery Centre 83 Market Street, Balranald

FACILITIES:  Spacious parking area;  warm showers (a donation in the donation box would be much appreciated); toilets; tapped (drinking) water; walking distance to the main street, shops, services and cafes.

At the Discovery Centre precinct there is the Visitor Information Centre; Interpretive Pavilion; Cafe; Playground and Skate Park

Greenham Park 24 Hr RV Stop (near Racecourse & Water Towers)

 
LOCATION:  Church Street, Balranald.  Located off the car park behind the water towers near the entrance to Greenham Park Racecourse Pavillion and near the swimming pool.

FACILITIES:  Spacious parking area;  Dump Site; toilets; next door to swimming pool and walking distance to the main street, shops, services and cafes.

Balranald Low Level Weir Picnic/Camping site

 
LOCATION:  6km West of Balranald - Then turn off from the main road for 4 km on a gravel road.

FACILITIES:  Nearby is a grassed picnic area with barbecues and tap water. The Low Level Weir, is another popular local fishing spot.  There are no facilities or amenities

Redbank Weir Picnic/Camping site

 
LOCATION:  From Balranald take the Balranald-Ivanhoe Road and drive just under 60km north of Balranald. Then turn right at the Oxley Road just after the Homebush Hotel. Then turn onto the Redbank Weir Road till you reach the Redbank Weir carpark.

FACILITIES:  The area around the weir has a grassed picnic area which provides a break for the traveller. Facilities include barbecues, tables and toilets.

NEAR EUSTON

Lake Benanee

 
LOCATION:  From Balranald lake Benanee is approximately 60km from Balranald off the Sturt Highway heading towards Euston.  From Euston it is approximately 13km east of Euston heading towards Balranald.

FACILITIES:  Lake Benanee has a beach area and public toilets and is easily seen and accessed from the Sturt Highway.
Lake Benanee Rest Area provides a large gravel parking area with a couple of shelters, toilets and bins. A very pleasant spot beside the lake featuring a range of wildlife.

Main Campground

 
LOCATION:  The Main Campground is at the end of Arumpo Road on the right shortly before the T-intersection at Mungo National Park

FACILITIES:  Facilities include amenities, non-flush toilets, picnic tables, wood barbecues and gas/electic barbecues


Belah Campground

 
LOCATION:  Once you arrive at the Mungo Visitor Cente, follow the Self-Guided Drive Tour to the campground.
